ColdAltitude offers a streamlined solution for calculating temperature-corrected approach altitudes, effectively assisting pilots in their pre-flight preparations.

The application allows users to input field elevation and temperature, followed by any desired altitudes that need correction. It efficiently handles all calculations and rounding, minimizing potential errors.

Additionally, ColdAltitude enables users to store, edit, and organize their approaches for future reference. This feature allows for the entry of anticipated approaches pre-flight, facilitating instant altitude calculations while airborne. Users can easily search for stored approaches by airport, enhancing usability.

The app also provides access to METAR and TAF data for the selected approach airport, allowing users to set temperatures directly from the METAR with a simple button press.

Employing formulas aligned with the AIM, ColdAltitude utilizes the same calculations recognized by the Royal Canadian Air Force and in the USA, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
